Jewelry!!!!

So we finally have a good amount of jewelry for all you cool people to come down and check out. Yesterday we just got in Anatometal, which is by far the best stainless steel jewelry you can buy. If you don't see anything we have in stock that you like, Anatometal makes every single piece of jewelry custom and to order so we can get anything you want in. Like we said before we have Tawapa organic jewelry as well and we just put in another huge order that just shipped today so there will be a whole ton more Tawapa in real soon. Other than that things have just been cruising along pretty steady around here, but keep an eye out next month for June/July issue of Inked magazine (Avril Lavigne on the cover) and check out the feature on Becka's drawings. ....back from vegas

so ya vegas is a neat place and we both made it back tired but alive. so the whole point of the trip was to go to app and buy lots of nice jewelry to sell to all you people. we picked up tawapa jewelry and this shit is the tits. its all hand carved out of woods, horn, bone, stones and jems. we dont have a whole ton right now but we are going to order more over the next little while once we kinda know what people want.

off to vegas

so monday (may 3rd) we are on our way off to the wonderful land of las vegas. there isnt going to be much going on on here for the next week or so but before we go here is a super cool of a brown trout tattoo. its part of a whole sleeve with some grizzly bears and other wilderness like things. so if i dont end up in a coma, there should be some updates on how vegas went in about a week. and maybe we will have some super cool new jewelry to sell to all you super cool people!

poison apple at the lethbridge tattoo convention

this past weekend was the windy city tattoo weekend in lethbridge. X, Derek, and I decided it would be a super fun day trip and maybe we would get some pictures of some really nice tattoos.....ok well we did find a hot tub show next door to the tattoo convention so here are some pictures of some really nice hot tubs.

.....and we dont have an air conditioner yet! anyone who has ever been tattooed knows that not only does it suck to sit for 5+ hours, but as ryan has just learned its 100 times worse when you are getting you ditch colored in solid red and its almost 30 degrees in the shop. just look at that picture, doesnt that look like a nice way to spend a hot summer day.

Liams last day is this friday. i personally wont miss him, but becka for whatever reason is all upset about it. i guess it was an alright time having him around and who knows maybe he will be back in the fall (if octoberfest and/or vegas doesnt kill him first). maybe now that i think about it, i will miss him cause now who am i going to rip on for being an aussi. that being said, if there is any aussi's out there that want to come and hang out at the shop and let me and becka make fun of you for who you are, feel free to come and hang out with us. anyway here are a couple neat tattoos that liam did while here in ferine.

so i dropped the ball and missed zombie jesus day last sunday. here is a tattoo of a zombie chef

becka did back in january. this guy is just hangin out makin some BLT's for his sick zombie party he's having.

does anyone remember the monster squad?!?! the 80's spawned a countless number of fuckin rad things (i.e. Michael Jackson, top gun, pac-man, me, etc). if you have never seen the monster squad, well first off get a fuckin life, but its basically a movie about every rad monster than has ever been thought of getting together and trying to fuck the world. this tattoo of Frankenstein is one part of what is going to be a monster squad sleeve. its been in the works for well over a year (slightly due to lack of motivation from derek's fat ass) but its likely going to be done sometime in the next couple months. check back to see the whole thing once its put together!

so right now we are unable to update Beckas portfolio on the website. so what ive decided to do is im going to start putting up recent works from becka and maybe liam (i'll ask and see if he's cool with that). i will do it at least once a week but hopefully more if there is enought to put up. so keep checking back to see what new work is happening at the poison apple! here is a little sugar skull did on a super cool guy named mike paska!(he's so legit he drives semi-trucks on roads of ice or at least he used to)

so things are still busy as ever and liam has decided he is over canada and wants to hang out in america, what a dick. so anyway this means we are in need of a new artist. if you're a super rad tattoo artist and want to move to fernie or just come hang out for a while give us a call(250/423/5948) or find us on facebook and message us. we are not looking to take on an apprentice, as that is just babysitting and we dont have a big enough shop to handle that shit. we are looking for an artist who does strictly custom work, we dont even have flash in the shop cause thats lame(sorry if flash is your thing, but its true). we want an experienced artist, no new artists need apply. call us up, send us your work and lets make this happen.....soon.....please....becka will get backed up and stressed out again and when she is stressed she hurts me.......

So its finally here, or i guess he is finally here. after a couple snags (a 24 hour flight delay just to start) liam monahan has made his way to fernie. come and get your moms portrait, your stupid dog, or just some super awesome kanji but do it quick cause he's not here long and he will book up fast.

dude's its the poison apple tattoo blog. Things are gettin super busy around the poison apple these days, so we are happy to announce Liam Monahan straight outta Australia is on his way over to tattoo with Becka.
